Interstellar Force

If you like space shooters, if you like to control a spaceship and fight in outer space against waves and waves of enemies, then I advise you to get the David Molnar-developed game InterStellar Force, a game presented as a “retro side scrolling space shooter if intergalactic proportions.”

As mentioned above, in the InterStellar Force game you get to control a spaceship, fly in outer space,  and you battle it out against waves and waves of enemies. I came back to this because there are a couple of things that must be added here. First up, the fact that you will battle the enemies in different locations; the game features several backgrounds. Next up, the fact that you can get weapon upgrades; I especially liked the plasma cannon. And last but not least, you can use rechargeable shield to protect you from all the enemies. There are many types of enemies so the shields will definitely come in handy.

The game has a very nice retro feel; you can check out the screenshots and the video at the bottom of the article to get a sense of what I am talking about. To make the retro gaming experience complete, the app comes with support for Bluetooth gamepad controllers. You can pair a controller with your iDevice and have a very pleasant gaming experience playing Interstellar Force.

InterStellar Force is available for purchase in the App Store for the low price of 99 cents. There is no free Lite version that I am aware of.

For a very fun, retro space shooter experience, I wholeheartedly recommend the InterStellar game.
